The goal of Summit Vision Financial (SVF) is to engage, educate, and empower clients to meet their financial objectives. SVF is a fee only financial planning firm and does not charge commission. SVF fees are transparent and can be found here and will be explained prior any meetings where a fee may incur. SVF is independent and will work in your best interest and is not driven by sales quotas or a cookie cutter approach to all. We have a genuine desire to help our clients meet their goals. We act as fiduciaries which means we believe in placing our clients’ best interests first. We also have a transparent fee structure that was created with the idea that you don’t need a mathematics degree (even though Chris has one) or a finance degree to understand. I am Chris Gebhards Founder and Financial Planner at Summit Vision Financial. Growing up and living in rural Missouri nearly all my life, I have been surrounded by agriculture. Finances have a lot in common with agriculture. Anyone who has attempted to raise a plant/crop knows that it starts with planting a seed, spore, or a starter plant and a plan. Then once it is started, you are partially at the mercy of Mother Nature. However the better laid plan you have, the more successful you will be. It isn’t any surprise that the world record holders for crops are generally the same front runners year in and year out. Do they win every year? No, but they consistently produce towards the top. Finances are similar from the point you start with a seed and a plan. Having a plan will help you control your money and not your money control you. Our goal at Summit Vision Financial is to help you make a plan that will lead you to produce the harvest you desire. Much like Mother Nature influencing the crop, the markets will influence your finances, but a well laid plan will lead to more success. Chris has over 15 years of experience in education and has the heart of a teacher. He has over 12 years of financial coaching experience. He has a desire and passion to teach clients to set up a beneficial plan that fits the individual client(s) and sets up the client(s) for success.

About the Founder

Chris Graduated from Iowa State with a BS in Mathematics in 2003 and then from Northwest Missouri State with a M.S. Ed in Teaching Mathematics in 2006. Upon graduating from ISU Chris got married to his wife Rebekah and began teaching high school math and coaching cross country and wrestling. Chris has always had a passion for finance which led him to getting his Dave Ramsey’s Certified Financial Counselor Training in 2008. While teaching, Chris began financial counseling and coaching and taught personal finance. In 2018 Chris began Summit Vision Financial. Chris also began farming on the family farm that same year. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with Rebekah and their two boys, traveling, snow skiing, water skiing, hunting, fishing, playing board games and coaching youth wrestling and flag football.
